The Statistics and Data Management department is a growing department with a wealth of experience in statistical analysis and data management. We provide a data analysis and consultancy service to HLS employees and clients.
SAS Programmer Position
Working within a small group of Statisticians and Data Managers to provide consultancy across all divisions of the company. A SAS Programmer is responsible for providing a general statistical computing service to the Statistics and Data Management department and to the Company. The role will involve maintaining and developing statistical programs and applications, in order to deliver a service to match the requirements of the Company and clients.
The SAS Programmer will maintain and support SAS AF Applications, automating processing using SAS, improving existing SAS applications and programs. Helping colleagues with SAS problems and assisting with any validation and testing projects as required.
Ideally applicants will have a degree or masters degree in Statistics, Maths, Programming or a related subject. Experience of working with the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent SAS Skills. The applicant will require good oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Senior Statistician Positions

If making imaginative and creative contributions with worldwide visibility, introducing new methods and setting the standards for our statistical work sounds like a challenge you could rise to, this vacancy could be the job for you. The successful candidate will provide consultancy for scientists across a wide variety of areas, from toxicology, pathology to cell biology and biological assays. As well as carrying out data analysis, responsibilities will also include designing studies, reviewing protocols and communicating results to customers. Applicants should hold an MSc in Statistics together with experience of working in the Pharmaceutical Industry and with SAS. Knowledge of performing mixed models analyses would also be advantageous.
